What a beautiful place we stayed in, Msandile River Lodge. The river is really, really really low. I guess they did not get as much rain as they needed last year and it’s still 2 months to go at least before the rains come. The poor Hippos and crocodiles need the water let alone the animals to drink. But the hippos most of all won’t be able to lounge around all day in the river.
We stayed 3 nights from the 20th – 23 rd.
We got up at 5 am and set out at 6 am till 10 am. Then ate breakfast then lounged till lunch then got ready for the 4 pm evening safari and came back at 8 pm. Not much time to in between but amazing rides. Our guide was Stephen and amazing he was.
A few questions to ponder and ask yourself.
How many countries is Zambia surrounded by?
Are all Zebras the same?
What are the big 5?
So ask yourself these questions if you want answer them in the comments, then the next post I will tell you all about Zebras.
Enjoy the following pictures and get ready for the adventure.

The Msandile River usually comes up over the bank and to the trees you see in the way back, during dry season which is now, it recedes but not this low. It covers everything you see that’s bare and it’s a real flowing river instead of a drying up still river.
The Msandile River is a tributary of the Luangwa River.
1) Looking at the map –
